The Objective
God Hands is a concept video game created for a school project to help us learn about the basics of game design and process of it
About
God Hands is a 2D-pixel art fighting game. The controls of the game was design to be difficult to control on purpose.
The Story
The game takes place in a universe where there are sentient floating hands as its inhabitants. Everything is a hand, even animals are paws instead. The hand world is a complete parallel to ours, with modern-day technology.
The God Hand Tournament was designed to find out who the best fighter is and who will hold the title of God Hand. It's a fighting game, the story doesn’t have to be that complex, we just need a reason for them to fight. These hands have a burning hatred for each other and want to prove who’s the best!
Meet The Team
Main Game
The gameplay is a standard fighting game with the usual
Mechanics, and the minigames will have clunky controls
Set-ups
Can also customize the fights:
-
Change timer amount
-
Change amount of rounds (Best of 3 is default, Best of 5, Best of 7, Best of 9)
-
Can customize item spawn or turn off entirely (Items off is default)
-
Can add Random Mini Game encounters that happens in the middle of the fight (Random Mini Game encounters default is off)
-
The minigames in the random encounter will be a quick and fast, there will be no turns so each player will get to move at the same time. This will make the minigames more chaotic.
-
Players will have the option play optional minigames. Each of the minigames will have their own gameplay based on existing games like Jenga and Connect 4.

Main Mechanics
As a traditional 2D fighting game, the controls consist of basic movements, blocking, and a super meter gauge. The gameplay will be chaotic, yet satisfying with simplistic controls. For a unique twist, players will be taken into minigames mid-fight and will compete against each other in games such as jenga, connect four, etc, but the the movement will be extremely difficult to maneuver since the controls will be utilized to move individual fingers & and joints.
Goals & Challenges
The primary goal of this game is to be a quick entertaining experience. Our main challenge is to compete with existing 2D fighter games, but our minigame experience will hopefully provide unique gameplay that sets us apart.

Final Prototype
This is the final prototype. Due to time constrain and lack of coding experience, we was not able to make this into a real game.
